Blair Thomas and Chicago Childrens’ Theater
team up for “The Houdini Box”
The Houdini Box is a “world premiere musical” based on the (mighty fine) book by Brian Selznick about a 10-year-old boy who can’t seem to emulate his hero, Harry Houdini, until a chance meeting with the magician. Blair Thomas both creates puppetry and directs the show, and recently commented happily on the way it’s going!
Performances are scheduled for January 27-March 4, 2012 at the humble Mercury Theater in Lakeview, followed by a remount March 14-March 25, 2012 at the posh North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie . The show is recommended for ages 5 and up, which includes most of us!
Could this be a part of your mid-Winter Escape Plan?
